Dive Computer - Need Help Choosing

Okay... Went to my local dive shop to get an Oceanic Pro Plus. And the guy at the shop told me they don't sale or work on them because they are lower end gear.

They don't sell or work on ProPlus probably because they are authorized Oceanic dealer. Even if they want, they can't. It has nothing to do with high end of low end.

While I have no experiece with ProPlus2, I have used two other Oceanic, VT Pro and VT3, still own VT Pro now. They are both very good computers. Very robust construction, user replaceable battery and very reliable AI. I also have Scubapro Tec2G. In terms of built quality, I rate VT pro and VT3 above Tec2G. From customer service point of view, Oceanic/Aeris/Hollis is also top notch. You really can't go wrong with this brand as long as the computer is what you want.

I am officially One happy owner of the Oceanic Pro Plus 2.1 with the Quick Disconnect )))
Now.. all I need is a class on it.. Hopefully I can work that in soon. ))
And the sale is over on the computer, so I am soooo glad I ordered when I did.

Congrats! It's a good computer. As consoles go one of the best. Enjoy. There is a class on ediver for it I think. LP should have given you a coupon code. if not it's less than 15 bucks and you work it at your own pace. I did the one for my Predator.

Ha! Glad you got what you wanted. I got our Sherwood Wisdom 3's for about $75.00 more online. I would like to have used my LDS, but they wouldn't come down at all...

A couple years ago I ordered the old style Oceanic Geo2 as a backup computer, the price was just too good to pass up. LeisurePro sent me the updated Geo2 for the same price, I was incredibly surprised, and very happy

You will be happy with it. Its a quality computer and I don't regret buying mine for me or wife. I still use it even though I have tech computers too. Good reliable bit of gear and easy to use.

i know a free class came with it but I didn't see a code. I'll check my box again then check with LP if not.

Where's Divenav when you need him...I'm surprised he's not all over this, must be out diving. Check him out he may have an online class for this computer.

When I registered my oceanic computer online they sent me the code by email. I had the course for the BUD and the OC1. Both were very helpful. You know what the screens actually look like when diving them. Much better than trying to figure it out from the manual.
