Huh??
You are not refering to the dive shop ID box are you? I know when I picked up a hardcopy application at the LDS there was a box with their ID. There is also a place to enter that online. The shop said they get a break on their fees based on recruitments.

It seems to be a shop code so they get credit on their shop deals. I don't think DAN does discounts.all4scuba05:

Oh, they have relations - mostly to do with their products. Just get DAN.all4scuba05:

Call it a referal fee or a commision, it's a business. It's an incentive for the instructor or shop person who you trust with your life to influence still another sale and get a little back for the effort. Nothing out of your pocket.
