Some of my dive buddies got together and chartered Blue Manta liveaboard to go diving in Banda Sea for 8 night / 9 day trip (from 14 to 22 September 2025). By chartering the boat we are able to get 15% group discount for everyone from $4900 to $4165 ($735 off) for the upper & main deck cabins or from $4500 to $3825 ($675 off) for the lower deck cabins.

Here’s Blue Manta promo video of Banda Sea;
I’ve done this trip back in 2019 and it’s incredible and was as good as my Raja Ampat experience on Blue Manta, but different. In Banda Sea you’ll have a chance to see whales, schooling hammerheads and olive sea snakes, as shown in the following trip video:

Blue Manta itself is a fantastic boat to be on as shown in this video:
Seeing schooling of hammerheads in Banda Sea requires some local knowledge and timing. Blue Manta team has those local knowledge and the timing seems to indicate that this year would be neutral or slightly La Niña event (as indicated by Oceanic Niño Index, below), which would bring cooler water to Banda Sea and schooling hammerheads to the shallower water for recreational divers to see them.
DM me, @Dan or Greg, @aquabluegreg if you have any questions.
Happy diving!
