Another thought I've had is whether anyone has tried neoprene wrist seals with si tech rings? I know you can install neoprene seals in their neck systems now?

I'm likely going for offboard heat in the next while and will experiment with thin neoprene gloves

Neoprene neck seal has been available by Waterproof for the Si-Tech neck ring systems for a few years now. I don't believe just any neoprene neck seal can be used...my understanding is the Waterproof neoprene neck seal is thinner around its base so that the yellow retaining ring of the neck ring system can be properly fitted to secure the seal to the ring system.

I don't recall seeing neoprene wrist seals for the si-tech rings, yet....perhaps a set of neoprene wrist seals can be ground thinner, with a sanding drum on a dremel tool, so they can be mounted in the rings.

You are 100% correct. The neck seal for the waterproof-brand inserts for sitech neck rings are made of a very stretchy soft 3mm neo, stitched and sealed to a ring of neoprene probably half that thickness that captures yellow retaining ring inserted into the neck ring slot. The neo neck seal stays seated really well, only had one pop off unintentionally when adding a little to much pressure during leak testing.

I really really like the neoprene replaceable neck seals, super comfy and when you overlap the neck seal with a well-fitting drysuit hood, zero leakeage even if you're constantly looking over your shoulder for a wayward teammate - and VERY warm, even in water just above freezing. I won't go back to silicone necks, bought a couple extra waterproof neoprene inserts as spares to make sure I never have to.

I haven't tried the aqualung-brand neoprene neck seal yet, so I can't compare. And no, I don't believe neoprene-replaceble wrist seals exist, but when it gets cold enough you'd want them, you're wearing dry gloves anyway and the wrist seal properties aren't that important.

I'm wondering if the lack of air movement through the neoprene might still add warmth even with them compressed.
1.5mm gloves are very cheap on Amazon and if they don't work a free return.
It doesn't. Crushed neoprene drysuits having a tiny insulating R value but its very minor in the grand scheme of staying warm.
