I'm scheduled to dive Wreck Alley on the Lois Ann Sat and Sun... hope the trips don't get canceled, especially if I've driven all the way down there.

You just need to get on some more boats. I've been to San Miguel twice this year and on both trips it was like a lake.

Billy

heh, I wish!!! When you're buying a house, taking Essentials, going to multiple out-of-town weddings, and the economy threatens your job, there's no extra money to do fun things like take boat trips. Here's to hoping ***** settles down very soon so I can get out on a boat one of these days....

Hey Nicole the Islands haven't been much better.

John

That's what I've read....if I want 10-12 feet of vis, I'll go shore diving ;)

Unfortunately, if I want 10-12 feet of surf, I'll go shore diving this weekend :rofl3:

I wonder how Casino Point is going to be this weekend?

My guess is it should be diveable but the vis may not be much. The ride back and forth may be pretty bumpy.

Just in time for the HB surfing competition....and just in time to ruin a diver's weekend. Is it just me, or has 2009 been more miss than hit in terms of diving this year (at least shore diving)? Ugh....can't wait for winter!

I agree, this spring has been a bust. Nicole, how was diving in Hawaii?

Diving in Hawaii was pretty good....a bit repetitive, but a nice change of pace. I have to admit, I am glad to be back in socal.

If you want to read my (long-winded) dive report, it's here. If you want just the cliffs notes:

Diving Big Island was cool, but hard coral gets repetitive after a while. My favorite things about diving Big Island were meeting up with Eric (Sockmonkey), finding eels on every single dive I did, and seeing mantas during the day. :D

Got my dive on yesterday. Gettin' my surf on for the rest of the week. Alarm clock is set for o dark thirty...goodnight!

I plan on taking the express from Dana Pt. and diving Casino Pt. Saturday. I'll let you know how it goes. Wish me luck.
