I just wanted to post something here to everyone who has written such wonderful things about my husband, Rob Davie. Moderators, please do not erase anything on his thread until I have been able to copy all.

If there is anyone in the Houston area that wishes to attend his memorial ( I do not even have his body back from Egypt yet), here is the address.

Rob's Memorial will be tomorrow evening ,Thursday, May 4th at Carnes Funeral Home 3100 I-45 North, Texas City, Tx. 77591. You must take I-45 towards Galveston, to the Tx. City Exit, go over the bridge then take the first exit. Go under the bridge and get on the feeder rd. to I-45. It is on the feeder rd. to I-45 going North ( towards Houston again). Visitation with the family ( Myself, Sean and his brother Tom) 6-7pm and service at 7pm.
Our address is:
16502 Oxnard Lane
Friendswood, Tx.
77546
( 281) 648-1122
( His home is not the 32 Green Haven address. That, he used for business.)

If he had any business or accounts with any diving organizations or dive shops, please send any mail to his home address in Friendswood.

Thank you again,
Sheryl Davie ( wife) and Sean Davie ( son)

Normally we would be giving you a warm welcome and I do, but most of all I would like to say how sad we are to hear of your husband,s passing, may God, family and friends be with you in this sad time, we are.

sheryl, thank you for posting the information. i can not attend, but that's
not for lack of wanting to be there.

i am very sorry you still have not received his body. this must be very
stresful for you.

many, many people are thinking of you. please let us know if there is anything
we can do.

My thoughts are with you.

Thanks for posting this information here.

Sheryl, I hope you can take comfort in the fact so many people are thinking of you and Sean. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Welcome to the board, this place is so much like family and losing Rob has affected so many people. You are in our thoughts and prayers and I genuinely hope you find comfort and strength here. Rob touched so many people with his wit and wisdom and a simple search will let you see how he interacted with those on this board. That's the nice thing about this medium, the threads can be reviewed at any time and many people are doing just that, looking up posts by BigJetDriver so they can remember him.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Peace be with you.

Rob always loved his scuba boards. He would come in from flying, kiss me, pet the dogs and cat then immediately go to his computer and pull up the boards that he was on. He spent an awful lot of time on them, but I didn't mind as he lived scuba diving.
He loved all of you and loved diving.

He taught Public Safety Diving ( black water diving) to their group
& was good friends with Randy, and I know that he would like to help support the group.

Thanks for all the posts!!
It does help.

I would like to offer you and your son my condolences. My late husband died in Anchorage, AK and I also had to wait many days to have his body flown back to NJ (a blizzard delayed things even more), although I'm sure doing this internationally is much more challenging. Know that many people are with you in spirit if they can't be there physically. Take care of yourself and your son. My prayers go out to you.
Ellen

Sheryl and Sean, I lost my father 6 months ago so I know the pain and loss you are feeling. They say it gets better with time (I hope so). While I never met your husband (father for Sean), I read many of his posts and his love for diving was obvious. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Jason
