For current situation, just go to nusatrip.com : online travel > best prices on airline tickets & hotels rooms and search it for yourself.

Bummer! I used to be able to buy Lions Air ticket s directly from Nusatrip.com with my US credit card before the pandemic. It doesn’t work anymore now. I called my credit card company and they say they approved it. Even the $2,500 Singapore Airlines charge went through. They approved the $350 charge for the Lions Air tickets, but Nusatrip returned it. Strange!

Tried with my debit card and got the same result! Declined! 😡

Hmmmmm... I see an easy side hustle here for someone with an Indonesia credit card and a Paypal account.

It is on the immigration website now.

Since I’ll be in Indonesia for only 6 weeks (July 10 to August 20) < 60 days, then VoA is all I need. Two weeks before the 30-day VoA expired (~ July 25) I just need to visit nearest Immigration office (Kantor Immigrasi) and apply for a one-time 30-day VoA extension, as described here:

Had a long chat about this with Nusatrip and my bank. Apparently the version of 3DS security is not the same and some are on old version and some are on new. I ran into the same issues. A workaround is finding a local agent or using Tiket.com but you need to send them an email first with a photo of your passport and credit card number in one frame/photo so they can whitelist your card. They will assure you they delete the info ASAP but it does make one nervous about throwing all your info out there.

While arrival PCR is not needed now, testing is required for domestic air travel if you do not have 3 doses/are not boosted.

Unfortunately 3DS is an old system that Visa is no longer supported.

Has anyone got JAGAWISATA for traveling in Indonesia?

$34 is cheap. I understand that it is only to cover the cost if you get Covid which requires hospitalization in Indonesia. It’s not a typical travel insurance that would also cover missing flights, lost luggage, etc.

Would it be required to have it to get the QR code?

Thanks!

No QR code needed for proof of insurance. It just needs to cover C19. I highly recommend Geo Blue. It covers dental as well and for 35 days at my age it was $81 for $1M and $0 deductible. Covers pre-existing conditions. They also provide a visa letter for whatever country you’re going to that explicitly states C19 is covered. Their coverage also includes non emergency, in case you need to see a doc while overseas. I have Voyager Choice since I have health insurance. My health insurance covers intl travel for emergencies only but it’s not as encompassing as the supplemental one I buy. Plus, their legalese is a little grey and I don’t want grey when it comes to such a big liability.

Any local agent you would recommend before trying to whitelist my card with Ticket.com?

I went back to Nusatrip.com, after Traveloka.com stop processing my 3rd tickets, and able to get two more tickets from them using different credit card and having life conversation with their US rep +1 970.295.4660 to navigate their screwy internet security process, but then my 3rd transaction got rejected again. Dang!
