I recently purchased an Aqua Lung i200c to serve as my primary computer and relegate my Oceanic Veo 2.0 for a backup computer. I purchased the computer from a dive shop because at that time the price was lower than the MSRP elsewhere. The computer arrived defective right out of the box. The bezel was installed upside down and there was a gap in the seal of the components. I first called Aqua Lung and the rep advised me to fix the bezel myself by dismantling the back plate and blah, blah, blah. The rep brushed off the gap in the seal and advised I could return it to the dive shop. I found it odd that they wanted me to repair their mistake. I called the dive shop and they honored an exchange. Surely this is a fluke, right?

I just received the second computer and the exterior looked fine. I got as far as setting up the day and time, then it locked up on the "Plan" screen and the buttons don't work. Everything is frozen. What are the chances of the second computer being defective? Clearly, the first time could just be a random defective product, but two times in a row indicates a pattern of poor workmanship and a company that doesn't take pride in their product. This is a life support device! I'm getting a refund and never going to buy an Aqua Lung computer again.

I'm going to post another thread about what to buy next. I'm looking at the Shearwater Peregrine.

Sorry you had such a bad experience. Aqua Lung runs a middle of the road deco algorithm, PZ+. I would imagine that you will enjoy the flexibility of the Shearwater Buhlmann ZH-L16C with GF.
