Planning to be there starting Saturday and have been checking the forecasts for weather. I know it's always a guess but The Weather Channel and AccuWeather seem to be way apart on their forecasts with Accuweather predicting much better temps. The Weather Channel has night temps going down to as much as 60F....B-r-r-r! Is there a fairly reliable forecasting agency for Cozumel? And, does anyone provide water temps?

Dive Paradise, Cozumel MX usually has a reasonably accurate listing. Just check their home page. Looks like 57 F for Friday night's low.

Here's a link I have on my desktop. I guess it's about as accurate as anything. Cozumel, Mexico weather and forecast information on WeatherBug.com

Weather can change overnight from forecasts, so don't put too much stock in them. And as Karibelle said, water temps are pretty static. I've been gettin 79F on my Galileo fairly consistently the past few weeks.

As Kari said, the wind is what will affect your diving - and those temps are about right - it gets chily at night and even during the day when a norte rolls through

I use buoyweather.com - but unless you subscribe to it, you can only see a couple of days out

Wind Guru or Wind Finder are the next best!

What you don't want to see on these are winds from the west, NW, or North any higher than 10 knots or so

The more easterly it is - the better!

Have a wonderful trip!

Weather Channel and Weather Underground just gave us a warning for Sunday in the Texas panhandle...
. Strong cold front to usher in Arctic air on Sunday...

A strong cold front and its associated Arctic air will move across
the South Plains on Sunday... creating the coldest weather of the
season thus far. Temperatures will fall into 20s by Monday and
Tuesday... with over night temperatures expecting to decline into
the teens and single digits. This surge of colder air in
combination with breezy northerly winds may create low wind chill temperatures and the potential for light snow accumulation.
Therefore... it is encouraged to ensure that outdoor animals and
exposed pipes are properly protected.
Whether that could have enough behind it to reach Cozumel in 2 or 3 days is a wild guess.

Best wishes on your trip, but January is January...

Going to have to dress warm when out of the water, I guess!
The last few days have been fab. Mind you I'm being wrapped up in a dive parka the moment they strip off my wetsuit.

And since I have a couple of blocks walk from my drop off, I wear a 2 piece swimsuit so that I can remove the wet top under my tshirt asap.

On the surface interval I'm sunning like an iguana.

Now that's something to watch. So far this winter that would be on par with our local LOWS this winter. Although it's hard to believe winter seems to have spared my little section of the Great White North. I was outside cleaning the sidewalk & driveway on New Years day with my jacket open & only a T shirt underneath, and since then we've had about 1 inch of snow, which (generally) is very close to the current amount of snow covering the ground here.
