Anyone going to be in Coz week of 10/12 and have any thoughts on the weather?

I ignore the weather forecasts and, instead, focus on the wind forecast. Anything higher than 20+ kts can be a problem, depending on direction.

Port Captain seems to have a 'magic' number 25 Kilometers PH, from around 30 degrees north to 210 south for closures. Southern winds may only result in closure up to the Palancar area.

Hey Coz Pros,

I'm booked for 10/12 - 10/19 and a little concerned about the weather. How bad is this weather forecast for a week of diving compared to the typical Oct/Nov? I know a lot of places can say T-Storms every day but they end up blowing through pretty quick and it's NBD.
I think you'll be fine

It looks okay now and seems to be improving. Stoked!
There is nothing tropical brewing within a couple thousand miles of Cozumel and the nearest one is moving the other way. Little popup squalls are not uncommon this time of year, but they are generally small and moving fast. You will be fine. Have a great trip!

Sometimes I call this webcam up on the computer that is connected to my living room TV and just let it run for a while. It's like having a window on Cozumel. Heavy sigh...

Presidente webcam is great. Have you seen the Grand Park Royal webcam lately? It used to just be a static shot to the west over the cruise dock so most of the time all you saw was a cruise ship. Now, it pans from west to east and gives you a very cool north looking shot up the island. This webcam has been known to be open for hours at a time in my second screen at the office Grand Park Royal Cozumel Panorámica en vivo, Cozumel - Webcams de México

I'm here now in Playa Del Carmen and we had thunderstorms late last night, a lot of rain and now it's been beautiful all day today. Like someone said if you waited for a forecast to be perfect you'd never go. Rain comes and goes down here very quickly. Don't stress about it and enjoy your vacation.

If you don't get to Cozumel all that often, the key just about any time of year is to arrange to stay on the island for long enough that the loss of a day or two of diving doesn't make the whole trip a bust. I typically stay for two weeks.
