I ignore the weather forecasts and, instead, focus on the wind forecast. Anything higher than 20+ kts can be a problem, depending on direction.


Most locals watch the winds. In addition to wind speed, wind direction. Winds from the east aren't usually a problem unless really strong.
 
Will Cozumel catch any backwash from Hurricane Milton as it passes by to the north and east? It's a Cat 4 storm now.
 
We got on the boat to calm seas planning to head to Maricabo. By Chakunab we were rethinking everything and called it a few minutes later. We barely made it to marina south of town, sorry forget name, then taxied to town. Now its Sunny and calm.
 
Driving should be great on Thursday and FRIDAY +. Maybe a bit degraded viz.
