TishaDee,

This is at least the 2nd thread where you've been dispensing completely inaccurate information (about VIS procedures, tank tumbling, and Hydro). Please stop. Heed your own advice.

I am sorry, but having read this entire thread, I can only say, that it was interesting and also helpful in its perspectives, except for parts related to this group of postings. For someone whose challenge on their profile reads to ignore the self-important flames of posters, Tisha Dee, you seem to have fallen into that pattern. Ease up, and lurk and learn. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing, after all.
While I may be an instructor and have my fair share or experience, I realize that there are many with much more and a lot with much less. Try listening and keep from responding until a thoughtful time has elapsed. this will save a lot of time and typing.... Plus, obnoxious is obnoxious, and the folks here will definitely call you on it. Good luck, and hang in there.

No I totally understand where you are coming from and believe me I hate stooping down to their levels, especially when I subject others like yourself to it; but I can't just sit by when people attack me and imply that what I have learned has no value. It's my character to always respect those that respect me. If they could express their difference of oppinion without putting myself and others down, SB would be all the better for it.

Please help with one of life’s little mysteries. Where and how does a bunny tolerating a pancake on its head relate to this discussion?

Watch your mouth. That's something Hitler would say.

Please fill me in on how I could be incorrect in stating the processes and procedures at my LDS? In our brief history of conversing, you've gotten way off of topic to prove a point that wasn't even up for dispute. Anyone who reads my post history will see that if I don't know something I say it. I have far too great of a respect for this sport to give inaccurate information merely for the sake of my own ego. Although, I have witnessed time and again how folks like yourself like to dumb down other people for the benefit of your own ego.

You also said "small ma and pa shop" and "we'd do the vip's and hydros in house." So, your small shop has their own hydro station? I would be shocked and amazed if that was true.

You also said "I'm not a certified Visual Inspector, so I can't answer you with all the exact technical details of it and perhaps some folks on here can chip in their two cents."

You said yourself that you're not trained to vis tanks. Guess what, I am. So, shut up about vis/hydro and come back when you are trained. Stop providing bad information to people that don't know any better.

Surely you must realize there are numerous dive shops out there all doing things slightly different then you and while you might think your way is the only way and the best way, it's ignorant to think that you know all. Get over yourself and stop slamming anyone with a difference of opinion, this is a public board and we are all entitled to share what we've learned for the benefit of others. If you don't like other people's opinions perhaps you should start a blog and leave the public forums to those that have respect for other people’s experiences, knowledge and opinions.

It's not a difference of opinion. I respect other people's opinions, when they know what they're talking about.

As for the other thread...your shop may operate that way; I don't give a rat's ass. But to argue that it is more cost-effective to custom blend every tank...is crap. But continue believing...

We're all here to be loved. :10:

If you re-read the thread you will see that I agreed with you that while it might be true that it is more cost effective to have pre-banked, in all of my personal experiences I have only ever never found it to be more expensive to get fills at shops with pre-banked. I honestly can't believe you are still raving about this...

So in an effort to put this one to rest for the sake of all others on here; let me ask you something: How much do you charge for your pre-banked fills? I'm assuming you do have pre-banked since you've made the argument that it's so much more cost effective... I'm curious to see if our custom EANx fills are more or less expensive then your pre-banked EANx.

While my shop is a small ma and pa shop and we absolutely do our own Hydros in house and frankly I don't give a damn what you believe and what you don't.

I work for a scuba instructor who will not certified a student who returns to the beach with less than 500 psi.....enough said...
