wow aubie... great avatar!!!!

ive been flat out so catching up now... wed i did my workout, thursday im claiming diving because i had to walk up and down a steep hill in full gear and yesterday i plodded to the shops for a juice (legs killing me from time trials, squats and lunges!)

oh, and the CFO & GM agreed to sponsor a work fitness camp (not bootcamp as thats scary but training sessions like im already having) so woohooo - another PT session per week and i dont have to pay for it :multi:

did an hour of weights and 30 minutes of cardio yesterday.
an hour of cardio and 15 minutes of abs tonight.

also started counting calories...trainer was right - wasn't eating enough of them...I'm hoping another week of calorie counting will get me in the habit of eating a little bit more and I'll start to see a difference.......only 10 more pounds to go!

Just home from the gym. Did 30 minutes on the elliptical - 366 calories and 2.32 miles. Need to start doing some weights tomorrow.

I haven't logged on this thread, but have exercised almost daily for almost a year(rarely missing a day) with swimming alternating with running. I swam 3/4 miles today, and fin/snorkeled another 1/2 mile, and ran for 2 miles today. A year ago, I would be huffing and puffing, and be sore. But it is amazing that you do it regulary enough, your body gets used to it. I am glad I started swimming as it is much gentler on my back and joints.

15 years ago, while I was young and still in the Army, geez, it was easy to pass the PT test. We just start running about 1 month before the scheduled test, and passing was a breeze. Now I am 44, it is alot tougher to stay in shape. Aches, pain, etc. But excercising daily prevented alot of the age related injuries. Thanks for the challenge.

15 minutes on the treadmill, followed by weights - lower body. Again, my heart wasn't in it. Have to figure out how to change that.

sunday was a dive at bare island... down the hill and across the bridge and up the stairs and over the rocks and in the water for a 90min dive then crawl out of over the rocks and up the stairs and across the bridge and up the hill... with full gear and boy, i was glad about all those lunges yesterday

today was cardio.... interval training! run then walk then stop then run then rest then run then rest and so forth..... my legs are SORE!

off to a conference now :multi: see you in a few days

I FINALLY got over the flu! :D Today was the first time working out in almost a week. I am going to be sore tomorrow! Missing a week had sure kicked my butt....now I'm freaking out because I have less than two weeks to prepare for vacation. I know 'crash diets' aren't good for you, but it would be great if you guys could give me some tips, I want to drop 5lbs by vacation....'tanks'

An hour of crosstraining...cardio mostly, but we threw in some weights too.

Drop 5 pounds in 2 weeks?
I would say cut out carbs...of all kinds...no bread, pasta, potatoes, or fruit. Lean meats and leafy/green veggies...count calories (check out igoogle.com - they have a nice online calorie counter you can reset everyday) and try to not exceed 1200.
That should do it...
