Morning, All! Good to see everyone working hard ;)

Only 21 more sleeps til I'm officially on holidays and I can't wait!

Just been doing the beach walk thing lately...need to pick up the pace a little or those San Francisco hills are gonna whoop my butt!

I'm just checking in to say that last week I met the challenge... I hiked up Mt Kilimanjaro across 6 days, with at least 3 hours of hiking a day and a total of 13 hours of hiking on summit day.

This week I'm nursing the knee I twisted slipping on the snow on the crater rim, so I'm back to being lazy.

You did what??!?! That's AWESOME.

I just got home from the gmy - 7:20 AM. I finally motivated to get my butt outta bed (my own personal Mt. Kilimanjaro) and get down to the gym for a morning workout. Since starting my new job Monday, I have been reacclimating to working with less flextime and I've been working more, both from home and the office, so I think I've finally realized that evening workouts are probably not going to work anymore. So today was an early wake up with 35 minutes on the treadmill. 1.88 miles and approximately 315 calories.

Yeah for coming to SF! Hope that you enjoy your time here. As for the hills - here are two hints - (1) "enjoy the scenery" on your way up them - stop, rest, check vista, walk, stop, rest, check vista, walk - etc. etc. etc. They can be doozeys. (2) Take the Muni (bus) up and walk down. Save your energy. Although some of the good ones should be experienced and the bus system avoids them like the plague. A side hint re: MUNI - If you are buying single fare tickets (rather than a fullday or multi-day pass) when you pay your $1.50, they give you a ticket. The ticket will have a time indicated (ripped across say "2" on the left and ":30" on the right). This means that you can ride any bus or street car (not the cable car) until the time designated. Saves quite a bit of money because they are generally valid for 2-4 hours, depending upon the time of day (rush hour = less time) and the bus/car operator. :D

Sorry, I know, wrong forum but it is GTK information. :D

Thanks :D

I find, btw, that morning workouts are the way to go for me. It's a bitch to get out of bed at 6am, but once I'm up and actually working out, I feel great for the rest of the day and I'm actually tired when it's time to go to bed (otherwise I have terrible insomnia). I feel more alert throughout the day as well.

a lazy kickboxing class tonight but another day done!

did i mention my office has approved 10 weeks of yoga classes :multi:

I'm coming to Aussie land so I can work out with my office's permission ;)

Skipped last night....making a last minute trip out of town and had half a million things to take care of.

Hoping to get some cardio in this weekend...it'll help me think.
