4.o :thumbs-up I know a girl that has a 5.1 - imagine that. Heck I didn't even know that was possible until a couple of years ago. Anyway, the school has paid all of her tuition and they are giving her living expenses and spending money as well.:shocked2: So make sure ya check out what they may have to offer. I agree with your daughter... If that is what she is wanting to do this is a great area to come to. We've definitely got tons of places that take interns (MoteMarine, The Aquarium, etc). I'm sure you guys already know that though. Anyway, I guess we best quit hi-jacking the birthday bash thread One last thing, if your daughter decides to stay here and wants to meet some people - I could introduce her to my son - maybe he could show her around if she is interested.

Joyce, just take puff a beach chair to relax in at the airport.

The 5.1 is an artificially inflated GPA, honors, AP, and IB classes are multipliers. My daughter's school does not do that, colleges adjust the GPA on the 4.0 scale. That girl must have taken a heavy load with those classes in order to get that GPA. It does reflect a tremendous amount of work on that girl's part.
