If you don't mind my asking, why are you visiting UT? My son just started there last fall:D

As for the rocks have a look see at this thread (the rocks are listed): http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/florida-conch-divers/60333-insider-information-local-diving.html Also, if you would like dive buddies post a thread here: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/greater-tampa-bay-area/

Lastly, is this your first SB trip???????

My daughter wants to study elasmobranches, she is interested in UT, USF, and FGCU in that part of the world.

We were at a birthday bash a few years ago with Colin, Reefguy, Scubafool, Cardzard, Jenny and others.

We go to Venice every year around this time, it seems that the past few years was a little later

How does your son feel about UT?

He loves it! If she has the grades to get in there that is the place to go. :) Smaller school/private/...

**Miss now off to look up elasmo something or other **

Yuppers!

Puffer Fish will be flying back into FLL that afternoon, from his trip to San Salvador. Mike will be able to pick him up, then we drop him back off at the airport for a 5:30 flight the next morning. :shakehead: Maybe we should leave him there, it's just a short overnighter. :rofl3:

Sorry, cartilaginous fishes; sharks, rays and that ilk. She is a 4.0 student, she wants to do her undergraduate work somewhere she can dive and get involved in research, then do her doctoral work in Australia, University of Queensland, I think...

4.o :thumbs-up I know a girl that has a 5.1 - imagine that. Heck I didn't even know that was possible until a couple of years ago. Anyway, the school has paid all of her tuition and they are giving her living expenses and spending money as well.:shocked2: So make sure ya check out what they may have to offer. I agree with your daughter... If that is what she is wanting to do this is a great area to come to. We've definitely got tons of places that take interns (MoteMarine, The Aquarium, etc). I'm sure you guys already know that though. Anyway, I guess we best quit hi-jacking the birthday bash thread :) One last thing, if your daughter decides to stay here and wants to meet some people - I could introduce her to my son - maybe he could show her around if she is interested. :idk: :)

Joyce, just take puff a beach chair to relax in at the airport.

I do believe that it was he that recommended D_B use a crumpled newspaper as a pillow when he flew in for our Ultimate Getaway trip. :cool2:
