Sadly I think I will be bowing out of this one this year. I'm sure it will be a great time with great diving. I would still like to make it to a few of the meets this year though as I haven't been able to make it to one yet.

i'll be there, but no dives for me. i'm goin for the party and the feast!!!. might take a boat ride if theres room, and i'll still bringf my gear in case some1 needs 2 borrow something, but i dont feel i quite have the strength to pull myself back into the boat yet :(

Okie dokie, I have officially OK from the hubby to go. ;)

How far north of San Fran is where I am going? I can't leave until Friday morn, so I'll be there late on Friday. Diving for sure on Sat and on Sunday, if anybody else is a go. My two boys (15 and 11) will be allong for the ride with me, too. :shakehead Neither dive, but the younger one LOVES boat rides.

Is there anyone else from down this way going up? or, anyone want o pick 'em up on my way up the coast? :D

jan, it is 275 miles for you, not much more then for myself as well, it will take you about 3-4 hours, well that is a little bit further for you then for me, but if you are up to it it is well worth it!!!!!!!

Umm, it is a lot further than 275 miles to San Fran from OC. Closer to 380 miles just to get to San Jose, going up the 5 to that Pasa Robles Rd, to 101. If you know a faster route, pls let me know it. ;)

easiest way from the oc is take 5n, to hwy 12w (lodi, just north of stockton), that'll dump u out at I80w, then take hwy 37 outof vallejo, turn right on lakeville rd, follow that into pettaluma, turn left on washington blvd, that turns into bodega hwy, follow that to hwy 1 n and follow up to the campsite (bout 35 mi or so) these are all good roads (except hwy 1... the rest i drive in my 18 wheeler all the time, but hwy 1 is kinda narrow, but the only way 2 get there)
im not sure when ill be there, depends if i have physical therepy on thurs or fri, ill try and be there thurs nite or fri morning though

Laurel,
Here's how I go and I haven't found a faster way yet.
Go up I-5 to 580, take 580 all the way into the east bay and over the San Rafael /Richmond bridge till it hits 101, go 101 north up to Petaluma, exit East Washington and go west, East Washington will become Bodega Avenue. Follow Bodega Avenue all the way out to hwy 1 at Valley Ford, continue north all the way up past Jenner to Ocean Cove Campground which is 14 miles north of Jenner.

Alternate route:
Instead of going through Petaluma continue up 101 to Santa Rosa and go west on hwy12 through Sebastopol till 12 runs into hwy 1. This will put you out a few miles north of Valley Ford. There is a Costco in Santa Rosa and a dive shop. Let me know if you need directions to them, both are right off the freeway.
Get a map and study it so you know what I'm talking about. Your total drive time should be around 9 hours door to door.

My cell number is (707) 318-2577
Please call me if you have any questions. I'm out working most of the time so this is a good way to contact me.

Thanks,

Eric

Looks like I'm going to be able to make it this year, not sure if I'll be there on Friday night or Saturday sometime in the morning. Save some urchin for me, I'll try and make some ceviche.
