As a CPAP user, I'd be surprised if ear plugs made a big enough difference. If it's ear plugs plus white noise only in your ears, then maybe. The new CPAP machines are much better and portable. I carry mine in my backpack with my laptop. Actually you have to because you have to hand carry it according to TSA. I highly recommend bringing the CPAP because the amount of sleep the user AND you get will be MUCH more. It's brutal without it. Without it, my test showed me coming out of deep sleep an average of 35 times PER HOUR. Might be good enough for a weekend but not a week.
