According to the website there are some hefty fees to be paid on board. Can those be paid by credit card?

Obligatory surcharges
Sudan Entry Visa for all nationalities : 225 USD per trip, to be paid on board
Fuel surcharge : 660 EUR per trip, to be paid in advance
Sudan local tax : 490 EUR per trip, to be paid on board
Sudan entry visa for American citizens : 275 USD per trip, to be paid on board

Fuel surcharge will be paid in advance with cruise price

Just local taxes and visa should be paid in cash onboard as we also have to pay both in cash to authorities in Sudan when vessel arrives to port Sudan ..

It will be such an honor having you again onboard.

I believe that we've dived together , I been onboard from 2008 till 2015.
Yes we did Ahmed! As I said, Yasser always picked the best people :)

EDIT: This one 's from a dive we did together, hanging in the blue of Deadelus North.

Does anyone know what happened to the itineraries to Sudan and South Sudan? The only trip listed for the boat now is Deep South Egypt.

I have a query into Aggressor
I’m glad you posted this question @scubadada and have @Ahmeddawood answered & cleared up some confusions.

Looking forward to joining you on one of these trips to Sudan / South Sudan.

I would like to see Thresher shark & schooling of hammerheads. I’d like to see the Sundan’s “hammerhead wall” relative to what I have seen in Banda Sea, Socorro, Cocos & Galapagos.

I only saw one or two hammerheads in Brothers Daedalus and Elphinstone (BDE) route. However seeing the Oceanic Whitetip (Carcharhinus Longimanus) in Elphinstone made that trip a memorable one. I hope Sudan would be better than BDE.

OK when's the group trip? I have never been to the Middle East, so I prefer to travel with some seasoned veterans. My only requirement is warm water :).

Most likely in June 2023, right Craig? That would make 3 of us, so far.

The last time I was there, the Egyptians like Americans. My land tours to the Valley of the Kings and driving back to Hurghada airport were pretty smooth. When the taxi driver mentioned that he’s taking an American to the checkpoint polices (plenty of checkpoints we had to drive through), they smiled and gave him thumbs up.

I'm glad that I could help, it will be such an honor having you onboard Royal Evolution.

@Dan @dflaher

I'm working on my wife, she's not fully on board with me going to Sudan, yet.

I believe there is availability only in April and May. We'll see
Even better as June would be another Scubaboard Invasion 2023 trip.
