I
Sorry to jump in the convo late, but which model does everyone have? I think the top 3 main ones are Halcyon, Light Monkey Tinkle, and Si Tech Trigon?

I'd like to install one on my suit. Right now I either squirm coming back to shore and the last few minutes are uncomfortable or I end up feeling dehydrated near the end of a dive. I can do either, but I wouldn't call it enjoyable.
use the Trigon on all three of my suits, I like that they are simple and low profile. Care is needed when rinsing (I just use the hose with nozzle that I rinse my gear with but with very very low flow, no pressure just flow. I found to much pressure and the inner mushroom valve can upset and not seal, making for a warm/cold, warm/cold wet dive and some serious suit and undie cleaning, all you need to do is unscrew the valve and check the mushroom valve on the inside if you think you over pressured it at which point you can soak it in disinfectant.

The other one are simpler but a bit higher profile with the manual shutoff. I usually will buy this sort of thing from Seaskin at about 1/2 of what they cost here but they are shut down for who knows how long.

Tigon was a nice low profile unit, but always leaked. Got a replacement valve as mine was recalled. That one also leaked. I have since heard that the tigon tends to leak 'in strong flow'. So far the light monkey tinkle is working like a champ.

Leaked as in wasn't installed correctly or?

Thanks for the responses. I have ordered from Seaskin before, I'm fine with the wait for when they reopen. Can't beat their prices. Its LM ~ $85 vs Trigon ~ $115 after VAT removed, converted and $10 for shipping.

Leaked as in you take a piss and the mushroom valve leaks and your leg gets wet. I think the strong flow is making the mushroom valve lift.

Trigon has proven its self to me, so long as I don’t pressurize it to much while flushing which can mess with the equalizer side of the valve, treatit nice and it will return the favor. If you do over pressurize it and disrupt the valve just pop it open and make sure the mushroom is seated properly.

I agree. I've read some horror stories about the earlier version but I guess it's all been worked out. I only have 10 or so days on mine (so close to 20 dives) and it's been great....not a drop.

I do flush it after every dive and haven't gotten into any horrible silty stuff yet. @Deep South Divers says he's had issues but dives a commercial environment....so he's probably consistently dirtier than me:)

I never had an issue with the double mushrooms on the exit. It was only the balancing mushroom that I had issues with.
Until I plugged the holes and went with an inline check valve (like the old Light Monkey, pre-Tinkle). That setup worked just fine for a couple of years. Suit had lamination issues and the replacement got a Tinkle. This year sucks and I only have a couple dives on it.

I have one. I don't plumb in often but with the right size cath it doesn't bother me. As for removal @Marie13 pointed me to some adhesive removal wipes.

Wipe the base insuring to get a little under the cath, roll it up a little and wipe the new base....repeat till off, no pain. I wash it afterwards.

P.S. make sure you manscape
