I found it risky to pee at the end of the dive. Especially in a vertical position.
I always try to pee horizontal and at some depth. Usually at the last stop.

i see.... but im just starting out heehheeh.. i find it hard to pee while diving... but that was with wetsuit.. will try..

As discussed in the thread I referenced, stuff your member as far into the cath as possible. Route up towards your belly and have the hose loop back down. My undergarment has a zipper pull at the top and bottom so I just unzip a bit and stuff the hose in then zip back down. I know of at least one person that routes straight towards the valve though. The key is to avoid any bending near the barb.

I've never had an issue with my sitech trigon as far as pressure goes. There is no bolt to undue and it's pee when I want.

I think you may need to prime your hose before descending. That way it doesn't have an air lock to fight. Once you get waist deep or horizontal let a bit go and you should be fine the rest of the dive.

Most of my dives require deco so being able to pee is crucial for me.

P-valve is usually balanced (duckbill valve lets ambient pressure from drysuit into the system). You can “unbalance” it if your valve is blocked or if you blocked it intentionally because it was leaking. If that’s the case, you need to pee at the beginning or you risk your member getting squished and bruised against the catheter / barb. Don’t ask how I know.

You can also twist the catheter by accident if your hose routing is wrong. I found that in warm water with thin undersuit, I need to make a loop. In cold water no loop.

yes most of my dive... is a deco dive.. 55m max. but i'll try that next time... pee in waist deep water.
since im in a tropical country i just wear leggings... do i wear leggings with underwear? so 2 waist band straps to keep the hose in place?

curious what loop? my hose.. is from lower left leg.. where the valve is... then goes up to belly , down to underpants... willie is 11 o clock or 12 o clock

Out the slot in the front and waistband of base layer holds it in place for me.

It all sounds so difficult when people write about it.
I cut about 75% off of the tube, the end of the barb enters the bubble slightly, use a big enough cath that you friend can get very close to the barb without poking and prodding each “opening” pointing at one another and roll it down while stretching Willie bob so you get as much contact area as possible, give him a big squeeze (use the prep wipes before all of this and don’t do anything else until the “warm” feeling subsides, also don’t pee any less than 15 before the start of this operation, dry is the game)

Leave the bolt open at least a little since it is just a paranoia fidget device as there should be a mushroom valve that actually stops water from flowing into the suit.

Make sure you have enough weight to not go into deep squeeze as that can really gum up the works. Next time get the trigon so you don’t need the silly duckbill thing.

HYDRATE!

I leave the valve open the whole time from the moment I’m hooked up. Only time I close it is when I’m not hooked up.

My valve is the Light Monkey balanced. The hose on it is long enough to allow routing it such that I can keep my dive buddy in the natural 6 o’clock position and outside the fly of the underwear alowing me to urinate at any time/position.

One of my improvised undergarments, a pair of REI fleece pants, I had a button hole sewn into the inseam to facilitate routing without going over the waist.
