I just don't log dives
I've always stored my regulators in the closet with the dust caps on, but to save time gearing up I've been thinking of just leaving them screwed into the tank valves, unpressurized.

Any possible issues with this?

Not as easy to store or move. Easier to get caught on something. Are they stored on a boat? May be easier to damage also.

Try it out and see if you like it. Do you really have a Reg set just in a closet? No container? Hanging them up?

Take a picture of how they are stored now and how they will be when hooked up.

They'll be attached to my doubles, which sit inside by the front door for easy moving. I keep backplate/wing attached to save on time gearing up, so figured might as well keep the regs attached too.

Myself, it is easier to move my tanks to truck without anything attached. But it makes sense to keep BP/wing and tank together at home for easy of storing. I only have single tanks. Doubles makes more sense.

Yeah, big doubles are a pain to carry, so I move them to the car on my back, and then prop them up near vertical in the trunk so I never have to move them around by hand.

AFAIU that's the normal way of doing it around here if you use a twinset.

with doubles it is not abnormal to see people leave their gear fully set up and ready to go. I pressurize and then shut the valve off on mine. I see no reason not to

O rings deform over time, storing your regulators connected to the cylinder will simply deform the DIN/Yoke o ring more quickly. Not an expensive problem but can be anything from a nuisance to a disaster depending on where/when it starts to leak.

What's the reasoning behind leaving them pressurized vs unpressurized?
