These are MS Windows Excel files. I do not know if the MAC can read these. Does the MAC have a Windows emulator? You can then open Excel files with Open Office, a free program. If you open it, it is read only so save it to your hard drive and you can change the values and edit it under the new name.

The file is "read only" so must be saved to your computer in order to edit the values. I just downloaded the Jan 2011 and Feb 2011 links and they opened fine. I was able to edit them. Could this be your problem?

Figured it out, thanks, I still thought the original links worked. Hadnt bothered to read through all 11 pages assuming the OP would have updated the links. My bad, Ive got it now.

I notice this calculator doesn't factor in salt or fresh water. Is the numbers based on fresh water?

Tried downloading this and could not connect with the server. Based on comments only it soulds ilke one i downloaded a long time ago and did bunch of modification to. Rainer,,,,, I thnk you can use loss of 50% lift at 40' and about 80-90 at 90-100 ft for compressable wet suits.

Any one who would like a copy of my modified sheet can pm me. maybe it is different than this one.

the forum does have attachments.

here's my modified version with adjustable depths; fits fairly close to KWS's 50% @ 40' and 80% loss at 100ft factors (adjustable via cell X10).
