HELP me pee...

I know I must do my best to understand those who have a hard time doing something that is easy for me but this thread is a hoot. Don't know what to say or suggest. Guess I have pee'd in pools, lakes and oceans since I was a kid so it was no problem when I leaned to dive!

In all seriousness, try hydrating well before dive time so that you have to go at the start of the dive. Most likely by the end of a good long dive started when you have to go, you'll figure out how to do it.

Unless a diver opens his/her wet suit to catch water on the ladder and flush thru, much of it goes on the deck - and most divers don't have front zip suits, or just don't.

I carry a small bottle of pet urine neutralizer on trips to spray my suit. Helps.

The things you learn on this board! My suit unzips in the back; now I know why experienced divers stayed well clear (of the obviously new diver, me) when I unzipped on the boat.

Someone mentioned having a front zipper installed. Wouldn't that make you look like an excited dolphin?

Trust me I am starting the dives well hydrated with the intention of peeing during the dive....it's in the dive plan...but I have not been successful. I start the dives having to pee but it never happens underwater.

If you saw the amount I was peeing post dive on the dock and on the swim platform...ask any of my buddies on this past weekend's St Lawrence trip, they were amazed how much fluid came out of my pee valve. :blush:

Ok try this: Suit up, walk off of the beach, stand in chest deep water, and stay there until you do pee - however long it takes. Practice practice practice...

Since you're using a dry suit, you could do it on the surface, fully inflated, rolled on your back. I looked at the She-p.com website, it comes with a hose.

The next step is obvious for guys...make a fountain. There's something no guy would do with onlookers.

Know the problem, I had it too, but in wetsuit. For me it helped when pulled my wetsuit a few cm of my body, so that there is some room and less tension.
