I accidently won an Ebay auction. Yes, accidently! I placed a bid behind 11 other people just to see what the reserve was and ended up winning the darn thing. Guess thats what I get for being a total Ebay noob.

Anyway, this is what I won. I figured I could at least resell the strobe and case for a decent price. I paid $94 for the lot and have no idea what Im going to do with it all.

Oh, and can I use the strobe with my digital point and shoot? Do they make a flash link?

Sea&Sea Seamaster Pro Ex Camera System

The camera system includes:
35mm camera
YS-50 Strobe with brackets
20mm F5.6 Wide Angle Lens
ML-II/3T Macro Lens
Top Mount View Finder

If it all works, its a sweet deal for $94. The strobe should work via cable...not sure whether it would do TTL though?

The case is useful...

Depending on the threading on the lenses...and whether they were 'wet' lenses...they may work with other digiP&S cameras. Some off the shelf manufacturers housings do have threads for external lenses

So, youre not sure if I can use it with my digital? Whats TTL?

If your housing has a bulkhead, then you should be able to just plug the strobe in and it'll work. But the strobe probably has a S&S connector (since it came with what looks like a S&S motormarine), so you'll need a S&S bulkhead on your housing for it to work.

Otherise, you could get a heinrichs-weikamp adapter and optically trigger the strobe from the camera's internal flash. That's what I do with my YS-60 and Nikon P5000 and it works great. Reef photo has them - just make sure to get the one with the right plug for your strobe (S&S vs Nikonos).

C'mon, the guy doesn't know what TTL means...think he's gonna understand any of that!?!

This is actually pretty good deal. You can harvest the wide angle lens and the macro lens to use with your digital P&S.
No you cannot use the strobe with your digital P&S, but you can shoot with the film camera that came with it :)
The case is at least worth 30 bucks

stop teasing guys...OP asked a simple question. Ya gota start somewhere. TTL is the acronym for "Threw The Lens". Your eye sees what the lens sees.

TTL = Through The Lens. Flash metering is through the lens, using the camera's metering system.
