Yet you make your students do the "Mask drill"???? You should lose it! You don't need it unless your going underwater? Whats the big deal, you should be comfortable with or without a mask! It is a lose issue not so much a safety one unless your water skills aren't very good?!!!

In the water, on my face... out of the water, in my fin pocket.

On my forehead where it belongs. :coffee:N

I tend to leave it in place. It's not that I'm ultra conscientoius. It's a prescription mask & if I want to see anything beyond 10 feet, I don't have a choice.

Your question is very ambiguous....

Before I get on a boat, it is usually in my dive bag...
After I setup my gear, it is usually near or attached to my gear...
Once dive, dive, dive is declared, it is usually on my face...
Once I begin ascent, it is USUALLY on my face, but not always...
If/when I make a safety stop, it is USUALLY on my face... sometimes, I have shades on... then, it is not on my face, sometimes I prefer it on my forehead... and very occasionally, I lost it at depth... lol
Waiting for the boat pickup, it is USUALLY on my face, but sometimes on my forehead, and sometimes around my neck... It depends on the mood, the surroundings and the issues....

Once on-board the boat, it is USUALLY on my face, forehead, or neck... it depends on the mood, the surroundings and the issues...

For SI, it is usually attached to my gear, or in the mask bucket (rarely)... Can you update your poll to include all this?

Honestly, where do you like to put it, especially if you need to talk to your buddy.

I assume you mean after surfacing from a dive? If so, my mask is on my face until I get on the boat. I find it very easy to talk with my mask in place. :palmtree: Bob

after the dive is over for me I cannot wait to get that thing off my face. I use to put it around my neck but hten I went to a bungeed backup so that is out, so it goes on my forehead. If I am diving in a quarry where they are training openwater students I will try to remember to flip it around and put it on the back of my head...

my masks fit well enough to not slip down over my mouth for surface talking.....

Could it be? I have a good fitting mask, it is comfortable on my face. It stays on my face. Boat dives and shore entries, I'm first to don and last to doff the mask. I think fit has a lot to do with this issue.
