I ordered the Rolock 90 kit from DGX (along with a gauge reader mask). I thought about waiting until after DS certification, but who knows how much they'll cost by then. For a preview of my Seaskin color scheme (arriving Monday), think LA Rams.:)

my wife and I use the K01 hoods. very warm, and comfy. expensive but nice
I looked at those. The MTM aspect was intriguing, but I ordered the Seaskin hood. Seems to be well-received except the face opening is smallish and needs to be trimmed/widened. We’ll see.

You don't know what you don't know (talking about me). My H1 works, but its probably too thin for the diving I do. I suspect a thicker hood, maybe even with a bib would make me warmer overall, but I'll wear this one out 1st.

Best of both worlds imo. Silicone neck for comfort and hood with a bib for warmth. I picked up my 7mm H1 used for $35.

A neoprene neck seal is more comfortable than silicone - to ME.

And no need to trim to keep from feeling choked. Just order the correct size for your neck.

My seaskin hood is fine, but it's my first and only so I have nothing to compare it to. I definitely had to trim the face hole. My mask wouldn't fit without it.

Alright total newby to drysuits, but thanks to this thread I am going to order my first drysuite and it will be the Nova. I have spent the majority of my time diving in Guam so there was no need for one, however I have been diving in Oahu and my cold tolerance is next to zero when hitting that 90 min run time and I am moving to the PNW next year so I figured its time to go dry.

I am trying to decide if the reinforced crotch is worth it. The majority of all my diving is done with a DPV.

Also, I was looking at getting the SI-Tech Oval cuffs and wondering what glove systems I should look at.

Should I consider the base layer through Seaskin or just wait.

I have read some of the duty tax comments and I am hoping that I don't get stuck with a $500 bill.

I had read some threads that divers use the Chucks vice other rock boots but I was thinking of just getting the EVO 4 rock boots.

Thanks for any feedback. Looks like if I order in the next week the dispatch day would be May 10th.
