Is a deep 6 signature series 1st&2nd stage capable of diving at 150ft+/45M+ in 30F/-1C with comfort in breathing/ease of inhalation?

The long island sound. A body of water between Long Island and Connecticut. It says avg in winter is 37F but I’m conservative and just wanting to see if this can handle 30f
Not even close to 30F unless you leave them in the car overnight first.

I don’t understand. Some users said it could achieve this temp/ so you’re saying the deep 6 can’t withstand this temp without freezing/failing? And how does leaving it in the car overnight assist to this capability?

Yes but the only charter on that "mini Continent" is not operating or even in the water yet. Maybe the locals are shore diving but having been there I suspect they pursuing other stuff in early season.

Sea water freezes at about 28F
I should have said earlier in the season as it was June when I experienced the 30 F at the torpedo and the 26 was recorded in the engine room by another diver in my group.

@BigAladdin I think that @rjack321 is saying that the water between Long Island and Connecticut won't get anywhere close to 30f and the only way to get the regulator that cold is to leave it in the car overnight before hand so it starts below freezing. You aren't getting to 30f/-1c ocean temperature until you're a helluva lot farther north than that.

Now, have I taken my regulators that deep/cold, no because 30F is nearly impossible to find, but I've taken them to the mid-high 30's and that deep before with no issue and neither the Aqualung nor Apeks will perform any differently. The only currently available regulators that may do better are the Poseidons, but I would have no issue if I grabbed the reg bag with the Deep6 or the Poseidon as I consider them interchangeable as far as conditions are concerned.

I’m so dumb and take things too literally. Thanks. No one has said anything against deep 6 for these conditions other than not knowing. Thanks for the explanation. I think it’s time to swipe the card and end my regulator search.

Earlier in the year you can find temps lower than 30 F in Newfoundland, I have heard of temps as low as 26 F but have not experienced quite that cold and frankly don't want to.
yeah, I was at my moms in NL this Feb, and the slushy water was happening, I kinda wish I had brought my gear, i love that feeling when break thru the slush under to the great viz..

how about I say that if diving 30 degree water, I don't care what brand you buy you need to have good technique and adjust the regs. Plus, gas selection will affect breathing at that depth, regardless of temp. You are demanding answers to a question with not quite enough information. 37 is cold(ish) and a world different from 30 degree water IRL diving.
You also didn't discuss surface temp.. that plays a factor.
Now, I have done a LOT of actual cold water diving, and when worked for Mares a while back, lots of Long Island Sound diving. I would not hesitate to dive my regs (Deep 6 Signature) there to the very muddy bottom at any time of the year.
At the risk of losing a sale, if you have to ask the questions you did in the manner you did, I am honestly a bit worried that maybe the type of dive you asked about is beyond your knowledge, experience, trng etc. Not because you asked regarding a particular reg, but because your question didn't reflect knowledge of the variables for that type of diving.
It would be like demanding a race set up on a race car that does oval track for your mountain ride to a mechanic. The mechanic would not want to touch your car, for good reasons.

I'd put money against the 26 being from a personal computer that was poorly calibrated.
Sea water freezes at about 28F
28.4 for typical seawater. We had about 29 in Antarctica.

Yea you’re right. I’m a new diver and in the process of getting my OW in August. But also just researching now on regs I can have and grow into when the time naturally comes for it.
