Reasons why you good folk chose what you chose makes it very helpful to new divers and those with limited variation experience. Not to labour the point but the "gold" is in the reasons. Thank you.

G250 because nothing else ever seems to match up.


HPR in a DAAM because it's a good marriage of old and new.

Edit: add a 109 upgraded to BA because it's a G250 in cool chrome. Or maybe a G250 is just a clunky plastic BA.

Never changed because I've been satisfied with the reg's performance, ease of servicing etc. Never had any complaints with those 2nds, so I never felt the need to try different models or brands.

I've got a personal beef with Mares (PDC related) that has me anti-Mares in totality. That being said, I have recently inherited an Abyss that intrigues me....

My affection for Mares is limited to selected regs and fins. It's certainly not where I would go for computers and BCDs (including their BP/W lineup).

I think fins, masks and regs (?) are quality. I can't speak to PDC.
