But, did you have a chance to ask him about the items that, in his own words, already had shipped from overseas a few times in the past couple of months? Did these shipments arrive, but got sold on the black market, got seized by customs or space aliens, drowned in the ocean, fell off the plane or into the hands of Somali pirates, surely there has to be a plausible explanation that they are giving out to people who speak with them in person, whether a truthful or creative one... or do they just refuse to comment?

I never even bothered to ask anything further. Why bother?

I saw the Shearwater Petrel with the rec option. Nice but expensive!

To be fair, a Black unlocked for trimix is the same price as a Petrel. That's the only way to evenly compare them.

Not really. A nitrox XDeep is $395. (Nitrox is included as a free upgrade). Similar Petrel is $800.

Tecdivegear shows $629 for a nitrox version. The Petrel is not available in nitrox only format, it's a trimix computer. The equivalent Black is the same price. I see what you're saying, that if all you need is nitrox the Black is cheaper, but that's still not an even comparison. Maybe Shearwater will release a nitrox-only version at a cheaper price to compete with the Black. Though at this point there's no Black to compete with, they don't exist in the wild.
