World Expo of Beer...

...is next weekend in Frankenmuth.

For those of you who are planning/hoping to attend, I suggest we meet at the Black Forest around 3:00 or so on Saturday afternoon.

Black Forest Brewing is on the EAST side of Bronners CHRISTmas Store on the very south end of town. The road to the Festival (Weiss Street) splits off M-83 at the south end of Bronners. There will be signs there to show you the way to the Expo. The Black Forest is on Weiss Street on the right hand side. Big stone and wood building with a large sign on the stone tower. The bar is in the door and to the left. I should be there somewhere, wearing a wrecking crew tee shirt and white ball cap over my very white hair.

Expo starts at 4:00 and entry is $5. 4 oz. tasters of beer are $1 each. Tee shirts and miniture tasting mugs are available inside the tent, along with hot food and tunes by Duke Tomatoe and the guys.

Is Cyril going to be there? Tell him that I am sorry that he can't go to Hilton Head with us this weekend. We were hoping that he could go and dive with us. I guess his mini dive gear did not come in yet! We are going to keep an eye out for any charming gnomettes down there! Well, it has been comfirmed. I will be traveling Upnorth to a get together with my wife's family this wekend.

I will miss the Monthly "GLWC 2nd Motto Meeting" in Frankenmuth.

DiverBrian, I guess I will just have to catch up with you and my T-shirt on our May 29th dive. (I assume that you have it.)

I was really looking forward to meeting folks from our Gilboa trip again and hopefully a few new faces.

Oh well, drink a couple of Maple Porters for me.

Well, had I made plans to get to the brewsky gaterhing, I would have had to change them. I'm taking a last minute trip to Monterey, CA for 2 weeks....yes...poor little old me.

Ted will be around later in the evening as he's going to Gilboa for a dive with his 'old' buddy Scott. Don't know who else will be coming along...

I got swamped in stuff when I got home with the trip to Dutch Springs DOG Days this last weekend (by the way it was eighty degrees and beautiful there. I also discovered yet another excellent dive buddy!).

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the expo either. My youngest brother Casey is getting married on May 29th here in Michigan and blocked my dive trip for that weekend. Now I am informed that my family will be hosting a wedding shower for the couple to be on Saturday evening May 15. This is a couple's shower, Couple's shower who ever heard of something so stupid? I will be working behind the scenes to convince the family that my brother needs a bachelor party with beer, golf and good times. I know of a place where we could find this type of entertainment.
