One of the most stable boats is B&B Scuba's new twin hull boat. It is a quick 15 minute boat ride to Molokini. They leave at 5:45 AM and usally do the second dive at a shore location sheltered from the large waves. Try taking Triptone. My wife says its a must. The best thing is you are back on shore by 9:30 in time for breakfast. If you want to do shore dives contact us we will take you scooter diving. We can reach depths of 65 to 75 feet off shore with plenty to see. We can hit all the shore locations that the boats do. And its the most fun you can legally have under water!

Avoid November through April , when the trade winds are strongest, and you will have no real issues. For my dime, Maui and Kona offer the best diving, and except for a few freakish days each year when they get "Kona Winds" out of the South East, the South and East sides of these Islands are pretty much always calm. Great shore diving on Maui, with easy entry and exit. Good site on Kona too, but much more challenging entry and exits. From Maui there are boats across the channel to Lanai, where the diving is fantastic. Even in the best of time the ride back can be a little rough, but not always. Play the wind and weather in choosing your trips. Seriously, no worries if you avoid the high trade wind season. When we are there in that season, we still have no issues as long as we aare on boats that stay on the leeward side of the island.
