Also wondering if you're still doing scooter dives... looking to dive 7/1-7/3, and your experience sounds incredible.

Are you still doing your scooter dives? I do not see much activity on your profile recently so I wonder if you guys no longer organize those beach dives. Drop me a text at 310-384-2114 if you still do. We are in Maui and me and my son would love to do something like that. We have done scooter dives before and are frequent socal divers

Diving in Maui this weekend is looking good. The South side is calm and clear.

I saw your post about S Maui. I learned to dive in Maui 10 years ago and have enjoyed diving there since, we try to come every other year. We have a great family time (9) of us but I'm the only diver. Becuase of budget issues I haven't planned any big scuba outings with shops but I was hoping to find some locals or other rec divers that I might hook up with for some 5 graves and other beach dives I have done in the past. I have dove with Maui Dream Divers in the past. Any ideas for me, dive days for me will be 11/18-11/25 and staying in Kihei. Best regards from Sun Valley Idaho Phil Doerflein

We are Greg and Elizabeth Walker and we LOVE scooter diving!

So much so that after getting certified in 2008, we soon climbed the PADI ranks to Divemasters. We quickly noticed that like us, many people wanted to take advantage of the many benefits of scooter diving. So, we bought more scooters, and opened Maui Scooter Divers - Maui's scooter diving specialists!

Here's a little of our background:

Greg moved to Maui where he met his beautiful wife Elizabeth nearly 9 years ago. They enjoyed exploring Maui's outdoor beauty and many activities the island has to offer. They spent much of their weekends at the beach exploring new locations snorkeling. Working in the real estate development business kept them busy during the weekday allowing them the weekends to try new activities. A friend of Greg’s took both of them on an introductory dive in 2005. With the Walkers, diving was love at first underwater breath. They fell in love with the serenity of the ocean, quickly exploring together everything Maui had to offer.

Greg uses his military navigation skills to allow him to safely explore areas and improve his underwater navigation skills. Greg and Elizabeth completed their PADI training to advance to Master Divers within the first few years of their diving careers. They went on their first scooter dive to Ukumehame in search of Manta Rays. Three were spotted right away and they were hooked! The ability to get off shore without the requirement of a boat was a major bonus! It was like flying through the water in search of new areas not seen by shore divers. They purchased their first scooters and were scootering at least several times a week. Wanting to share this really cool experience with other people, they completed their divemaster training and opened their business, Maui Scooter Divers. Quickly turning their hobby into a business of fun and adventure!

Reserve a dive with us and let us show you the many hidden reefs, manta cleaning stations, turtle cleaning stations, wrecks, artificial reefs, and other locations that we've found!
