Can anyone suggest which reg to buy for around £200/250. I plan to dive mainly in the UK all year round. I was looking at the new Tusa platina RS230, or the Oceanic Delta 3 Dx4 which was recommended to me??.

Thanks

The Oceanics usually get a good write-up and are considered a very nice breather.

Apeks is the norm for UK diving. There is good parts availability/servicing and they are great in cold water.

I dive the Delta 3 DX4 and have no complaints. Very easy breathing. Price/performance wise it's a very good buy.

I started out with a Scubapro MK9 first stage, R380 second. Worked AWESOME, and it has venturi-initiated vacuum assist, in which you can regulate how hard it is to start the air flow to you, and also the rate of flow after the initial "crack", a very good tool for someone who has trouble breathing out of a reg. Cant remembr exactly how much i paid, but it wasn't expensive, and well worth the money.
