My real job is creating computer performance evaluation tools using real world applications. Translated, that means we make benchmarks which run real apps like Photoshop and Word, etc and use scripts to perform the operations that users do. Then we have a realistic test that compares to what a user really does.
That said, I wanted to hear about what tools, at a high level, you use in editing photos. Such as "I use Photoshop CS and I use layer manipulation, cut and paste, red eye reduction, contrast controls, color controls, and blur, sharpen and mosiac filters."
Any info you provide is greatly appreciated. This is your chance to encourage app developers to improve the performance of the operations you use.
