I prefer to stand up and do my CESA. anything deeper than that and I'm yanking your reg out of your mouth.

I don't see any option to change D4 setting. Why don't you RTFM and tell me. If you don't know what you are talking about, just zip it!

Well it seems you found the equivalent thing from page 39 and then 44 on the user manual. D4 uses a different setup and you found the change from 100% to low of 50% which will get different NDL and deco profiles. I wasn't trying to be rude but the manual does list how to change the profiles for dives but not GF as it is on other DC.s

PS I had a D4 as well which I gave to my son when he started his diving courses a few years back. :)

GUE trained

In France, for instance, they consider deco dives as part of the recreational realm. Although the training received has a big impact on procedures, there is a tendency to avoid a specific plan for recreational dives (except for the minimum gas, which is always taken into account) and to follow the computer. In other words, you do your dive, and you constantly check your gas reserve to be sure you don't end up OOA, and then you do your deco depending on what the computer says.

This is a completely different approach from GUE. As far as I know, with UTD, it works differently, while I don't know anything about ISE.
Stick with GUE philosophy.
There is NO other way.

I stick with that philosophy. But it isn't the only one, and this is a fact.

EDIT: well, if other philosophy are optimal or not - it's another discussion :)
