This is the best thread ever.

To me, love is....well? It's the glue that holds Joe and I together. A really strong glue. Sorta like Krazy Glue, only less icky.

Okay, shutting up now.

simbrooks:
Or in more words:
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
.

That says it all right there. When you would die to save another's life.....kids, wife, mom, brother....

murphdivers286:
True love is when you can look at the same person everyday and say to yourself, "I would die for this person". When you see other people and only want that one person in your life. When you wake up every morning with a smile on your face because you know you are lying next to the most beautiful person in the world. When no other person comes to mind when you need a shoulder to cry one. You can't wait to get home to see that person again. Love is when you give up so that person may have. When you are so mad at that person you can't stand it, but you still could imagine being with out that person. Love is unconditional.......

I like this one murph... All I could think of as I read it is my three year old daughter. :07:

Apart from that: I guess I am still trying to figure out the other type.

DMP:
In today's world that is always changing and the people in it, can anyone really define the meaning of Love?

It depends on from what school of thought you are from.
If you are from the Everly Brothers (or even Nazareth) school of thought,
Love Hurts

If you are from the J. Geils school of thought,
Love Stinks

gedunk:
"Love is a battlefield" .... Pat Benatar
"What is love? Baby dont hurt me, dont hurt me, no more" - Haddaway (some cheesy pop guy with a bit of a techno beat).

Wow, those were the days.....experience will teach you different, cherish these times. You are describing a severe state of lust and hormonal madness, got to love the brain.

Actually - Love is finishing a dive at Alice in Wonderland with the sun setting as you exit. Climbing into a rusted out rental truck along side your favorite person and heading north. Heading for the Lions Dive Restaurant and one of Kirk's grouper sandwiches. Knowing that after your romantic meal you will be diving after dinner. And after the night dive knowing that you will awaken at 5:30 for a dawn dive and the whole thing starts over tomorrow. Love is sunrise, the promise of a new day and a new adventure. Just my opinion.....
