Hey there,

I've only just realised there is a space for treasures on SB. I am part of the dive team for the BBC series Lost and Found in the Lakes where we search the English Lake District for lost treasures and items. At the moment we are recovering a lot of modern jewellery and electronic gadgets which we try to return to the owners but outside of the show I dive in the Lake District myself. I just wondered if anyone else had discovered something cool in the lakes that I could check out. I like to film underwater too and I'd love to hear of something. This could be stories of nearby settlements or vessels that have purportedly sunk.

I have found some WW1 and WW2 ordinance, which is always a pain to have disposed of properly, I collect old bottles and I have recently found two 3ft long wooden models of Viking longships although I had to leave these in situ as it turns out they are urns! I didn't know this but people buy these things to give their loved ones ashes a Viking funeral!

Has anyone else discovered something cool in the English Lakes?

:)
