Well, "off-gassing" brings up a very funny, but honest, question: Scuba-farts. Don't any of you pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about. About an hour after diving, it's like fireworks in your shorts. Heh...

I eat the usual breakfast- crunchy, healthy, tasteless cereal with soy milk yum yum. Maybe some toast with peanut butter, and tea or coffee.

As far as the scuba-farts, I can't help you there. I do notice that I have to belch when I get out of the water, or sometimes as early as the 10' stop, especially if I eat something during the surface interval.

I usually just eat dried fruit and nuts on the way to the dive and as much water as I can stand.

What does everyone eat before a dive?

Breakfast before a morning dive.

Lunch before an afternoon dive.

Supper before a night dive.

Ain't no use missin' a meal.

Tell ya what I WON'T eat before a dive ever again...orange juice or anything with egg on it! That is some major indigestion, and I don't want to burp that....

I prefer bacon, egg and cheese biscuits from McDonalds before diving. If I am somewhere with no convenient drive-thru I make do with the closest reasonable approximation. I rarely eat fast food, but I make an exception on dive days.
