Looks good glossy too

I actually was able to source one (NOS) but it didn’t have the seat saver pattern inside (cross shaped hole) :(

I might start messing about one day and make a 3d printed „backer“ ring that converters older covers to seat saver ones (the buttons are the same)
But too many open projects for the next few years 😅

Funny thing is, the yellow one has a very faint checkered print on it as well (very faint, have these been like that originally?)
please do make this seatsaver converter! after reading about pingpong balls with rubber bands and finding external clamps on thingiverse, an integrated mod would be super sweet.

I’ll try my best
Fair warning before you get your hopes up high
For it to work it has to be a destructive modification, ie the cover can’t be reverted back to it’s stock config (not sure by how much as I have no soln yet); since any extra height behind the buttons seat means having the lever depressed

I think a simple piece of cork cut from a wine bottlle cap or even a pencil eraser or a carrom disk and a flat rubber band can make an easy seat saver for any 2nd stage without having to modify anything no? Just need to remove the mouthpiece during storage to run the elastic bad around ….

This one’s too tall but you can find a shallower object depending on the elastic….

Or maybe a broken off butt of a toothpick stuck between the button and housing? Paper match?

Yeah and I forgot my original solution for the s600 - a wooden icecream spoon or coffee stirrer can be inserted under the metal frame to depress the purge cover… the pic I posted was just for demo for all the other 2nd stages out there…

Just don’t over do the pressure, a slight depression is all you need.

My seat saver solution for any adjustable regulator (G250/109/156/CE156) is to set the tuning such that with the knob fully out the regulator will very slightly, ever so slightly, bubble. Of course that does not work on a non-adjustable like the R190.

Why ever would I want to put a ugly 195 cover on a lovely G260? I know certain folks like to go on about their fussy TFX or that silly high strung D400/420, but frankly, this is the King of Regulators, no fuss, no bother, they just work, all the time:

And yes, I could not help myself, they are overshot with 2K clear. Why do I seem to shoot everything with 2K? Because it gives a tough and sacrificial coating that minor scratches can be buffed out and if a big scratch were to happen it is repairable.

What's that?
A clear coat finish (in spray format)
It’s available in matte and glossy
It’s quite famous for model makers and car detailers

I got both based on Nemrods recommendation (didn’t know it was water compatible) and gonna do a matt finish on my raspberry hot cover g250

Edit: if you decide to give it a try, know that it lasts once „opened“ (ie activated) for 1-2days max; so either buy the small can, or prepare a big lot of things ready to spray
