I leave off the silly locking pin. Scubapro should too.
This I agree with.
The rest , not so much, yellow is yuck, and it's yellow plastic, just to make it worse.
Me, personally, yellow is my favorite color so that mod would be totally worthwhile.
Each to their there own, whatever 'floats your boat'.:giggle:

I think that changing a g260 cover to an R195 cover is a travesty, ugly, abomination, criminal, abhorrent, yucky and just not acceptable at all. It may very well be a grave sin.

Look at this abomination of a g250 and weep
(I plan to try @Nemrod s hydrodipping technique to reduce the ugly)

On the upside, seatsaver button

Ive seen that this can be done. What tools would I need and what other parts? Also is this something that is easy to do? I dont want to mess up the regulator.

Strictly speaking, all you need is the yellow face plate part# 11.331.034

You can use blue diaphragm friction ring from the G260, you don't "need" the grey R195 one, which is part# 11.331.104 by the way.

There is hope for it. Look for the checkerboard cover and then shoot it with clear. This is a R190 that I use as shotgun for a Poseidon Jetstream:

I actually was able to source one (NOS) but it didn’t have the seat saver pattern inside (cross shaped hole) :(

I might start messing about one day and make a 3d printed „backer“ ring that converters older covers to seat saver ones (the buttons are the same)
But too many open projects for the next few years 😅

Funny thing is, the yellow one has a very faint checkered print on it as well (very faint, have these been like that originally?)

Yes that is the way they are, all I did was clean it up and shoot it with 2K. I might should have used matte clear instead of gloss, well, it is what I had. Breaths a lot like a USD/AL 1085 except better ;) :
