I just pull mine off, have never had an issue. @Tracy (and others) swear they are more sensitive and they use something to break the glue down? I linked him here to maybe chime in about an easier removal.
Nope, I have the opposite issue. Adhesion was always my issue. I got by for years by installing it after a shower on dry clean skin. Even with that, by the late afternoon, I was taking my chances.
The skin prep wipes are amazing. Since I started using them, I have never had an issue and usually have to remove them during a warm shower.
Best thing ever.

Damn, then I had that backwards.

Sorry @twistypencil

So you use the skin prep wipes BEFORE putting on the catheder, not after?

Also the wipes make it easier to remove, when its time?

No. He uses the wipes to clean to get it to stick better and then by the end of the day it's still falling off.

I guess people have different oils. I myself can keep it on all day, no prep needed, no help needed to peel it off. I find that peeling it in reverse of the way I put it on is the best way (for me) to get it off. Nice and slow and it just peels right off.

Thanks, my problem was getting it off, it was stuck and required some fairly intense removal that was not pleasant. Especially the top bit was glued to the inside and was not fun to unstick.

That's interesting. I don't think I've ever had the top get glued like that.

Are you sure you're using the right size?

In my experience, the prep wipes make it “more consistent” and by that I mean not as prone to not sticking well (if, say, I don’t apply it immediately after a shower) but also nowhere near as painful to remove as putting one on right after a shower in the morning and forgetting to remove it until the evening.

I feel like it removes the natural skin oils and puts a buffer of milder adhesive for the strong adhesive of the catheter to glue to, instead of direct to your skin.
