Tom R:A couple of the GLUE members got in at Rockport today what a nice day for diving. There even was a boat on the Kinghorn with divers.
Diver Joe:Hey that is a very poor Water Entry...
Diver should be looking straight forward with one hand (right)covering his mask and his his (non Up stream ) Reg the left hand should be at the hip with the thumb hooked and pressing down on the waist strap. The fins should be held together one on top of the other with the tips pointing down.
Just goofing around, I can see that the warf is not high enough to give enough time to sort yourself out... hope you had a great dive.
I'm down in Nfld for a week on House Hunting Trip...retiring from Navy in April.
Cheers
Diver Joe:Have you ever heard of or dove the Bell Island Wrecks Tom?
4 Iron Ore Carriers that were sunk by U-Boats in WWII..
Fully in tact, sitting upright, they are about 300 - 400 ft'ers and depths are generally 80 - 130 ft for 3 of them and the Rose Castle is 120 to the deck and about 180 to the dirt.
The water is a little on the cool side but Jacques Cousteau said that Nfld waters had the best vis he'd ever seen.
I'm really looking forward to lots of diving this year, now that the Ocean is my back yard.
Have a good one, maybe hook up with you on the River before I hit the road in April.
Cheers
