Go dive a couple of cenotes. The Pit is pretty cool, as is Dos Ojos.

If you like Italian, Don Chendo has awesome Chicago deep dish and good pasta. Cheesters is good too, and cheap.
I have wondered in the past, if topside has really heavy rains, whats the effect on the cenotes?

Rain doesn't really have any effect on Dos Ojos.

I do know that heavy rain will turn Car Wash all orange.

Just seen this posted on Cozumel my Cozumel, hopefully @Christi is correct and it's just a touch of rain and a tad bit of wind. A good day off for everyone before high season kicks in is all.

Little to no effect, I believe. The level of water in the cenotes is tied to the water table and I don't believe much if any water from rain drains directly into them.

Well, it's no longer orange, but red, and now has a name: nobody 14. Not very encouraging.
nobody believed me:(. In this instance, I hate being right though. It'll move into the Gulf north pretty quick.

They are saying it will be given a Christian name tomorrow (Michael). I'm still not changing my plans. To me it looks like it'll be moving away from Yucatan by Tuesday and then possibly pick up some speed before it hits the Gulf of Mexico states.

The one thing I like about it is that it is predicted to bring rain to ATL. We need it.
