Hi Guys,

Any users with NGC? Is it a monitor and computer already. What are the benefits to add an additional shearwater Petrel or Nerd? Since the cost will be added up to other rebreathers tier.

If I buy as my first rebreather, will you choose Standard or Expedition (how long of the scrubber duration for each? I can't quite fine the answer for warm water...) version?

Cheers.

I've been using a Triton since 2018.
I still haven't upgraded to the NGC.
And I don't think I will, Monox + Petrel with a Teric as backup are fine.

NGC is a monitor that will turn into a monitor+computer once the upgrade is up and running.
NGC also incorporates a checklist and watchlist to verify that the machine is OK.
And a new head up display, bi-directional

Standard Triton: scrubber 2.2kg, approx. 4h use in cold and dark lake
Expedition Triton: scrubber 3kg, approx. 6h use
=> 500gr / hour
