Guys
As an introduction to reg maintenance, I've got a Mk10 on its way to me.
To remove the HP cap, what size pins does the pin spanner need?
Also what size of C spanner is appropriate for this reg body?
If it's in good nick, I might get some other tools in order to service it properly. Just need to strip it down first.
Cheers 🍻
Thanks.

I’d start with what you have already amd see where the hobby takes you — unless you feel “all in” already (I did a year ago, but I wish I waited on some choices that I realize now were superfluous)

Like you I’m done with my regulator collection. Now I need to sell some 😂

My favourite first stages are the old Cousteau in DIN.

oh tough — fair guess yes
By how much — can’t say, haven’t opened an atomic yet

I don’t think I will get to open an Atomic either. They’re not that popular here. It would be more difficult to find a shop to service them.

I still have some regs I wanna get a hold of — I haven’t even tried a DH yet

I need to sell some of the tools tho — a D400 top tool is just plain exuberance now that I know I can do it with a normal pin spanner 😅

Maybe I do need to sell some regs too tbh, I got way too many mk10/g250s, but maybe I’ll improve my game and service them before I sell (some of) them (but the regaholic loop might get triggered 😂)

I think servicing before selling is the way to go, especially if you show as one of the pictures the post cleaning, pre-assembly parts and the IP at which the regulator locks up. Non-DIY Buyers can have more confidence that it’s a good regulator and you get a better price.

See the indent in the top of my tool, when you turn it the other way it's an AIR 1 tool

But tell me does it fit a D reg

Looking forward to your tutorial ! 😂🤗

Oh man, a tutorial, way to complicated for me, look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, no it's R Singler

I'll just stick with bumbling through my photos, like this exhaust thing

and how to remove the residue

and how to put one of these in

See I'm already exhausted

That's what I told you it is exhausting, NFC mate!

Absolutely nothing wrong with the Duckbill dude

However remember, share your stuff around and only collect what you're going to use

And refrain from talking about it on ScubaBoard, as you will push the prices up and up
