This is my drysuit. Very easy to self don and self doff.True enough, neoprene drysuits are great and offer more opportunity to move freely in many directions, not quite like a rash guard or 1mm wetsuit but so much easier than a bag, just wish there were more self donning options.

I don't embarrass easily. Basically I use latex condoms and wrap elastic Leukoplast tape around the shaft. It makes a nice snug fit so it doesn't pull off until you want it to.If it is not too embarrassing, what is the 'better method'? Don't get me wrong, I have NOT tried the above method.
