I just want to get back out there and dive it...simultaneous mode

Alright Alex I give....how?

If the depths are accurate you would be able to plan the route you wanted to take while maximizing the efficiency of your profile. On a smaller reef it wouldn't be useful, but for a larger deeper wreck, I would want to learn as much as I could before splashing.

I studied post and pre-sink photos before my first Oriskany dive, and compared it to depth information I found. For me, it was helpful.

Makes sense... :)

seeing how a boat ride out there cost $150 bucks, thanks to all the local charter captains getting together.... I can see reason for using something like this to plan the dive.

Otherwise you could waste a lot of time and miss a bunch. (not that you can see it all in just a few dives anyway).

.....How was it simulated? DiveNav no disrespect but it just isn't the same as the real thing...:D

Of course it is NOT the real thing :crafty: ... it is a simulation !

It is like a computer game, not a video of a real diver.

But, you can use the simulator to check out every detail of the USS Oriskany (and alot of other real dive sites.

....Noticed he changed to a rebreather on the hanger deck! .....
Nope. You can NOT do that with the simulator. You need to ascend to the surface to change your gear (except for the weights ... you can drop them underwater .... but then good luck ;))
It appears that the diver changed gear underwater because of "video editing" (we stitched together dive one with dive 2 :shakehead: ... maybe we should made the transition more clear)

.......can you create a simulation where we can "re-sink" the Oriskany? let us place the charges in different places and blow it up and see how it goes down each time? that would be fun.

This is a GREAT idea !

Since we are now working on the USNS Vandenberg (with the people that actually sunk it), we will develop this feature for her first.

Depths should be accurate .... if not we can fix those in few minutes :D

We have several users that used eDiving to plan their dive trip on the HMCS Yukon reporting us that during the real dive they knew ALWAYS where they were. And it was their FIRST real dive on the Yukon :D

How about for the Spiegle Grove also maybe in the future?

Have options for sinking it upright and upside down? :rofl3:

We released the virtual dive site of the Spiegel Grove early this year.
