We'll see if my now 16mo. old "order" comes through or not. And if there is a post-order AA inflation tax to be paid.Your second pic shows the problem, about $500 more than it was first “offered” for
1) Get a longer set of allen wrenches. Some are just too short providing little leverage. A longer wrench will be easier to turn off a tight port plug, etc. So yes, you need more force.Hi All,
I received this week my Atomic Tfx. It’s my first regulator, and thanks to Regulator Geeks 4 and this extensive thread, I decided it could be my first and last (also a lot of anesthesiologists seem to like it so that must count for something lol).
I hooked it up to a cylinder, and it seems to work with a leak. But I have two concerns I thought I would ask the experts in the thread about.
1. I can’t seem to undue either of the HP ports with an Allan key. While I can unscrew any of the lp ports, after applying the max amount of force I am comfortable with putting on the HP port, it still won’t budge. Should I just go harder or am I missing something here?
2. After hooking up the tfx to a cylinder, it will not seem to maintain a vacuum if I test breathe off of it while it is unpressurized to check its state. Is this normal? I have seen indications that the seat saver can cause this to happen, but I am unsure.
Thanks in advance, I am very excited to use it in Bonaire in December, however given it’s my new toy and I don’t now how long service might take if there is an issue, I wanted to ask if there is anything I should do ahead of time.
P.S. thanks again srsingler for convincing me of the advantages of centre balance! I will evangelize for it forever more on your behalf.
Thank you, that did seem to be the answer to both of my questions! Like most of us I think, I was a little paranoid about my new gear.1) Get a longer set of allen wrenches. I got a bit of chuckle from this used, but like new fleabay listing for and TFX. I will leave it at that and let others make their own assessment.
To get away from proprietary hose probably. Just a guess. Why replace stock swivel?
