Second time in a month I've seen an eagle ray or group of rays in 50' to 80' of water... others have been seeing and reporting them too!

Hit 3 spots north and south of the Whistler in 52' to 60' and had nearly top to bottom, and 25' to 30' horizontal visibility.

First dive, a spotted eagle ray flies by and circles our anchor line. No shooting, just OW check out dives... and the students loved it!

The Pipeline Mitigation reefs 2 & 6 are finally holding fish although small. These are the hollow coffin-like structures spaced out like a cemetery. Mostly magroves, red grouper & scamp, but saw one keeper gag.

The 12' "Parking Lot" Ledge had a small carbo and a nice gag.

Awesome!! I LOVE eagle rays!! One of my favorite creatures to see on a dive!!

Gotta agree w/ Sean though: :worthless:

Sorry... when I teach OW I can't be burdened with my video/photo camera & housing. (Don't have a compact pocket camera.) Same goes for a speargun.

If you had seen the antics I have, in 32 years of OW instructing, you'd keep your eyes glued to the students too!
